National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. For more than 80 years, it has prepared today's students to be tomorrow's leaders.

  Mission Statement

To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership,

among elementary and secondary school students.  

• Beta Club is all about service to our school and community!

• Students must have a 3.2 GPA- 

• NEW MEMBERS:  Must be invited to join-invitations will be sent by Oct. 1st  

• CURRENT MEMBERS: Club dues are $20-must be paid by Oct. 1st  

• 20 hours of community service hours required for the school year.

• The goal for the club is for students to help express their creative spirit in an artistic environment. Cosplay or "Costume Play" is a growing art form, branching to many age groups and social classes. It is a form of expression to many individuals that wish to befgacome their favorite character from video games, TV shows, movies, or cartoon shows. In many cases, individuals who may be shy in public will blossom in the world of cosplay, creating new and lasting friendships. 

• As the art teacher with 11 years of cosplay experience, I can assist the students in their creations in any means. This includes aiding in sewing, armor construction, gluing, sanding, and painting.

• FCCLA is a new club here at WRH. We are hoping to implement and enhance student involvement with this club. This club's purpose is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education, by focusing on the multiple roles of a family member, jobs, and community leadership. Members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation. 

• We will be exploring careers, engaging in hands-on activities, volunteering, taking trips and learning new things to become better citizens for our community. 

• Students interested in the club must have taken or are taking a FCS class. There is a $25 club entry fee. Members will receive a t-shirt.

• Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a club that focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering students to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.

• The club meets in front of the fine arts building to walk over to the Teachey Fire Department to learn about the skills, drills, and equipment used in fire fighting.

• Any student wanting to join must be a Jr. Firefighter in the fire department.

• FFA members discuss upcoming events such as FFA Career Development Events and Leadership Development Events (competitions).  

• Students currently taking an Ag class will automatically be members on the State and National Level. Anyone not currently enrolled in Ag must talk to Mr. Autry or Ms. Trimbur about being a member. 

• Enrollment in Ag class is the only requirement for membership and includes students currently enrolled, past students, or students that plan to take Ag in the near future.

• Anyone interested in becoming a teacher, learning more about the profession, or looking to enhance public speaking, communication, planning, and other qualities that "great teachers" are made of. The club will allow individuals to observe, plan and teach various lessons. In addition, the club will work to celebrate and honor current teachers in the profession. 

• New Member Club Dues: $10.00 or 200-word essay: On an educator that has impacted your life and why you want to join this club.  Due Friday, September 8.

• We will focus on multiplayer, strategy games such as: DND (Dungeons and Dragons), MTG (Magic the Gathering), Brawlhalla, and other board games - as requested. The starting plan is to have a "pod" for each game being played during the club meeting time.

• Our BullDog HOSA chapter is one of many in the state and across the nation. Throughout the year, we do a variety of activities based on club member interests. These activities include: volunteering in the community, bringing in guest speakers, job shadowing, and training activities,fundraising for our state competition.  Each year is a bit different. We tend to work based on membership interests in different topics. HOSA also offers access to some great opportunities for both local, statewide and national programs. This year our Bull Dog HOSA will be attending the regional and state convention where these opportunities are offered.

• Members of HOSA are people who are interested in health-related occupations, community service and learning more about health professions. If this sounds like you, come join us. 

• Requirements: students need to have taken a health science class, be actively taking a health science class, or plan on taking a health science class in the future.

• WRH International Culture Club

• The purpose of our club is to express the diversity of our school by showing the unique traits we have to share.  Our mission is to open the eyes of the students at our school to be a little more aware of the world around us.  The goal we have is to create an international festival that will show everyone what other cultures have to offer.

  • Requirements: Students interested in participating in the WRH-ICC must not have any discipline issues, nor failing any course. They have to participate in all the activities the club has planned. Fee: $15

  • Submit an essay to Mrs. Sosa explaining why you want to be part of the ICC and what you know that can benefit our club.  

    • Some of the activities we have planned to accomplish this year are:

    • Celebrating the Hispanic Heritage Month, Black History Month, 5 de Mayo, etc.

    • Field Trip to see the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet.

    • Any other activities suggested by the members of the club and approved by the administration.

• The competition is designed for a team of four students to participate in a collaborative effort in various levels of difficulty that range from trivial to highly technical information.  The competition stresses quick recall.

• Students planning to compete in Beta Quiz Bowl competition need to sign up.

• Any student is welcome to train for future competitions.

• The WRH Robotics Club will be an exciting and inclusive community for students passionate about robotics, engineering, and STEM. The club will provide an opportunity to explore the latest in robotic technology and develop problem-solving skills. Particularly, the robotics club will utilize the two widely-used platforms, Vex Robotics and Arduino, in our hands-on projects and activities.

• This class will teach you specific tactics to defend yourself when getting into a situation that my be life-threatening or saving someone’s life.

• Increase school spirit by assisting with the following: 

  • Creating signs, shirts, noise makers for the student section.

  • Assist with decorating for the homecoming dance.

  • Assist with planning and setting up student tailgates for home games.

  • Running the spirit table at home basketball games.

  • Brainstorming other ideas for school spirit.

• Members will be voting and making decisions on possible school policy. 

• Students need to run in the election. If they do not win the election they can still serve in the Senate.

• Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools bring youth with and without intellectual disabilities together through sports and education to create school communities of acceptance and respect.  

• Members of the Unified Champions Club will assist as peer buddies on field trips with the Special Education class throughout the school year including the Special Olympics

• Members of the Unified Champions Club will assist in planning and executing See The Able not The Label week

• An inclusive and empowering community where all students can learn, grow, and make a difference. It is a vibrant community dedicated to exploring and celebrating black historical events. Through our activities and collaboration efforts, we aim to foster unity among students and empower them with valuable skills and leadership opportunities. 

• Each February, we organize a comprehensive program to honor and highlight the remarkable achievements and contributions of black individuals throughout history.
